Fried Belacan Chicken Wings With Salad





















Recipe sourced: Classic Hawkers' Fare From The North by Chef Bryan Ong
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken wings, about 12 pieces
4 cups oil for deep frying

Marinade: A (mixed):
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp chili boh
40g belacan
2 tsp sugar

Ingredients B:
1 egg, beat
Coated:
1 tsp baking powder
120g corn starch

Garnishing:
Lettuce leaves, cucumber and cherry tomatoes, i served with salad

Method:
Clean chicken wings and drain well, combine with marinade A and marinate for 2 hours, set aside.
Heat up oil for deep frying.
Mix chicken wings with egg, coat with corn starch and baking powder and deep fry at medium heat until golden brown and cooked.
Dish and drain.
