Baking Corners by Bob Pimmanas
Ingredients:
½ cup toasted cashew nuts
¼ cup toasted sliced almond
½ cup raisin
2 tbsp sesame seeds
4 cups plain cornflakes
Syrup mix:
25g margarine
2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp condensed milk
A bit of salt (optional)
¼ cup good quality honey
2 tbsp soften unsalted butter
Method:
Heat the oven to 150C.
Mix all dried ingredients together.
Mix margarine, plain flour,
condensed milk and salt in the pot, then bring to simmer in very low heat.
Once margarine is melted, add in honey,
mix well til the syrup a bit transparent, then turn off the heat.
Immediately add in butter and
quickly mix well.
Drizzling first half of syrup to
half of dried ingredients, once slightly coated, add in the rest of syrup and
dried ingredients all together in the same bowls, toss around till well coated.
Put the mixture in the baking cup
(or baking tray), bake for 10 minutes, let it cooled, then serve.
